This entry is part 11 of 32 in the series Single, EP and Video reviews

Miriam Tamar exciting rhythmic video Miriam Tamar – FIREDANCE EP:  There are times I get a debut in for review WHEN I realize from the very first bar that it’s a TOTAL WINNER… I’ll toss a few more words at you about Miriam’s exciting rhythmic video in a moment, but I want you to listen to it NOW, people… this is JUST the kind of music & dance we need to pull the world (& the people in it) together… here goes…

Just SUPERB, and the fact that the dances are performed by the youngsters at “Breakdance Project Uganda” makes it even more pertinent (since, in my estimation, that’s where rhythm really began, anyway).  Miriam definitely uses her skills to empower ALL of us… though her lyrics are simple, letting the beat & the smiling faces of the children convince the watcher/listener, her vocal also DRIVES the tune in an almost haunting manner!  If you’re (at all) like me, you will find yourself totally enchanted by her masterful mix of world rhythms and lyrics… this video should be playing 24/7 ’round the world – I just LOVED this one.  Miriam’s music is a perfect example of FUSION, & so fits VERY NICELY into our magazine theme!

I give Miriam a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) rating of 4.99… I also predict that you will be hearing many (MANY) more albums from this highly talented young lady.  You can learn more about her at the Miriam Tamar website.           Rotcod Zzaj
