American Roots with a twist Kama Ruby – Miss You Mitch EP critique

This entry is part 29 of 31 in the series Single, EP and Video reviews

American Roots with a twist Kama Ruby – MISS YOU MITCH:  I’ve reviewed several great singles and EP’s from this high-talent vocalist (most recently, her “Lazy Afternoon” single), but this is the first time I remember a “themed” EP… the title track, “Miss You Mitch“, was co-authored by Jane Getz and features some beautiful violin from Dylan’s violinist, Scarlet Rivera…

…if you haven’t done it already, you’ll want to SUBSCRIBE to Kama’s YouTube channel, where you’ll find many more entertaining videos.

Kama’s portrayal of party girl Kat Foxe is quite interesting, as it’s the story a lot of us are familiar with (and may indeed be living ourselves)…. there’s some great guitar work on “More Time For Me“, and Kama’s vocal will have you cruisin’ on down Route 66 in no time!

My personal favorite on this EP is “You’re Replaceable“, where Kat’s acid-tongued critique of her loser lover tells him to “move on down the road”… this song will be a favorite of DJ’s, and I predict it will be getting HUGE amounts of airplay.

Kama is a unique creator who always has a “fresh take”, with the skills to pull off anything she feels like doing… this great little EP gets a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.99.  Get more information on Kama’s page for the release.               Rotcod Zzaj
