Unique performance of Mistake Kama Ruby – SINGLE REVIEW OF KAMA RUBY PERFORMING MOBY’S MISTAKE:  I recently had the privilege of reviewing “Hanging With My Sisters”, featuring singer Kama Ruby… it got high marks, to be sure.  As a result, she sent me her unique performance of “Mistake”, from her “Minds Eye” album.  Before I write out my thoughts, I (most strongly) recommend you watch & listen to the song…

…in order to get a better perspective, I watched Moby’s original performance; as you’ll hear, Kama’s arrangement and interpretation of the song makes it come ALIVE in a much different way.  Kama’s friend Jane Getz had something to do with that, to be sure… her stunning vocal is also complimented very strongly by bassist Robin Bramlett, as well as Bowie’s piano man, Mike Garson.  Mike’s stunning keyboard is a superb choice for supporting Kama on vocals.

What really makes Kama’s vocal stand out is the sultry and engaging quality of her voice… I can tell you right now – you WILL be hearing a great deal more from this high-talent singer over the coming months & years.  One great way to get better acquainted with her talent is to SUBSCRIBE to her YouTube channel – I did!

I give Kama and her players a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.98.  Get more information on Kama’s website.       Rotcod Zzaj
