Warm romantic vocals Kristin Callahan – Lost In A Dream

Warm romantic vocals Kristin Callahan – LOST IN A DREAM:  This is my first exposure to Kristin’s warm romantic vocals, and I can tell you right now, it won’t be the last… You’ll find several very nice videos when you SUBSCRIBE to Kristin’s YouTube channel… if you love vocal jazz, I recommend you do that right away (like I did).

Kristin pulled in some high-energy, high-talent players to back her up… you can see them all on Kristin’s page for the new album… one of the best examples of the superb vocal skills Kristin has is her performance of Monk’s “Round Midnight“… what sets her apart from all the others is her exquisite “pacing”… sleek, soft and haunting!

Though it’s a “foregone” that “The Shadow Of Your Smile” would be a Latin flavor, Kristin and her players take it in new directions of their own making (the bass and guitar interactions are just excellent)… I have a strong feeling that DJ’s of all stripes will be integrating this delightfully distinctive performance into their playlists often.

I had no difficulty (at all) making my choice for personal favorite of the eight exciting tunes offered up… the lively groove on “Softly, As In A Morning Sunrise” brings the joy of love and romance into very clear focus, and will have you dancing ’round your living room (or wherever you may be listening).

I give Kristin and her players a HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.99.  Get more information on Kristin’s page for the 16 July, 2021 release.                                        Rotcod Zzaj
