prolific jazz pianist Monika Herzig’s Sheroes – All In Good Time

prolific jazz pianist Monika Herzig’s Sheroes – ALL IN GOOD TIME:  You would have to search far and wide to find a prolific jazz pianist like Monika, who is releasing her latest CD on the 19th of July, 2024.  Video performances for the new album were JUST posted (thanks for sending me the links right away, Monika), so you can get a taste for the group’s elegant style by watching this superb video from the album…

You’ll find several fine performances and interviews when you visit and SUBSCRIBE to Monika’s YouTube channel.  (I signed up immediately).

The 6:07 title track, “All In Good Time“, was a perfect choice for leading off the album… an original by Monika that is intricate, yet (totally) accessible… the performance is an expression of the pure joy of jazz on which each player (Rosa Avila drums; Jamie Baum flutes; Monika Herzig piano, keyboards; Reut Regev trombone; Gina Schwarz bass; Leni Stern guitar and Camille Thurman tenor saxophone, vocal) gets to express themselves with vigor and vision!

It only was a matter of seconds for me to make my choice for personal favorite of the ten totally tantalizing tunes as I listened to the 5:52 “Right Now“, another original by Monika… her piano on this song is superb and full of dazzling beauty.  I absolutely loved this song.

I give Monika and her playmates a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.98.  Get more information on Monika’s website, or watch her Spotify channel as the release date comes closer.
