Vibrantly alive originals Peter Leitch – New Life

Vibrantly alive originals Peter Leitch – NEW LIFE:  Life has new meaning for composer Peter… cancer struck down his performing career, but it didn’t stop him from creating vibrantly alive originals, as you’ll hear on his brand new album.  Though he doesn’t perform live anymore, if you SUBSCRIBE to Peter’s YouTube channel, you’ll be able to watch several live videos of his work.

The player list for Peter’s New Life Orchestra is far too long to be itemized here, but if you visit Peter’s Home page (scroll down a bit), you’ll be able to see the complete breakdown of the talent he organized for this marvelous double CD release… tunes like “Penumbra” (samples aren’t available right now; the album doesn’t officially release until November 20, 2020) will take you right over the top of the jazz horizon… DJ’s are going to be playlisting this full-bodied tune frequently!

The beautiful “Elevanses” is Peter’s nod to Gil Evans and Walker Evans… you won’t find a better-paced tune than this anywhere… the ultimate in jazz, to be sure.

If you’re firmly rooted in bluesy jazz, you’re going to simply fall in love with Peter’s “Back Story”… slow blues with simmering soul… the pairing of guitar and trombone is marvelous!

Of the seventeen superb songs offered up, my choice for personal favorite was easy to make… the opener for the second CD, “Exhilaration”, will lift your spirits and move your soul.

I give Peter and all his players a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.99 for this fantastic release.  Get more information on Peter’s website.                                              Rotcod Zzaj
