I was first exposed to Radha’s fine vocal work on an album called “I Only Have Eyes For You“… her new album features her vocals, of course, with Aman doing piano, Fender Rhodes and composition… I was very (& I mean VERY) impressed with the keyboard/vocal mix on “Would I Lie?“… late-night jazz DJ’s (especially those who like to “funk it out” a bit) will be adding this to their playlists for regular airtime, I’ve no doubt!
Even if you’ve never been to Bangalore, Radha’s vocal will take you there as you listen to the splendid closing title track, “Bangalore Blues“… it’s clear as you listen that this dynamic duo loves playing together… excellent recording and their “pacing” is pure perfection.
My choice for personal favorite of the seven superb songs presented for your jazz adventure is the 4:02 “Load Shedding“… believe it or not, power outages and flux CAN give you ‘da blooz… a splendid video of this one is worth highlighting, too…
