Totally talented trombone big band jazz Seth Weaver Big Band – Truth

Totally talented trombone big band jazz Seth Weaver Big Band – TRUTH:   I just can’t express how excited Seth’s totally talented trombone big band jazz debut release makes me… if you want to see (up close & in person) why I’m so charged up about his abilities, watch the video of the 5:54 opener, “The Hudson“, first…

…the player list is far too long to itemize here, so scroll down under the video to see the player list… I also (most STRONGLY) recommend that you SUBSCRIBE to Seth’s YouTube channel, where you’ll find a LOT more live performances.

There’s a wonderful laid-back intro featuring bass on Seth’s original composition, the 7:29 “Red“, and when the horns kick in, it’s full-tilt jazz for your enjoyment… I have no doubt DJ’s across the globe will be putting this in regular rotations… a SUPER-hot performance!

The energetic “movement” on the closer, “It Could Happen To You“, penned by Jimmy Van Heusen and Johnny Burke, is absolutely volcanic… the recording quality is perfect, and I predict you’ll be spinning this tune over & over again.

Seth’s arrangements are genius quality, as you’ll hear when you listen to his original piece, “Frost“… nice slow-build with rich, dense tones, but once you get to the 1:14 mark, the pace picks up, so that by the time they hit the 3:20 mark, it’s total energy… this was an easy pick for my personal favorite!

I give Seth and his magnificent band members a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.98 for this superb big-band jazz album.  Get more information (and purchase direct from Seth) on his page for the album.    Rotcod Zzaj
