Tantalizing toast to Broadway Robin Spielberg – GIVE MY REGARDS TO BROADWAY: Frequent readers here will know that I’ve been a fan of Robin’s wonderful piano work for MANY years now… what you may not know is that she was an aspiring actress in her earlier years. With the trials of the pandemic nearly behind us, Robin celebrates 2021 with a tantalizing toast to Broadway… here’s a video where she explains how she fell in love with the theater from a few years back…

Bright and cheery is the mood Robin creates for you as she plays Rodgers & Hammerstein’s inspirational “Ten Minutes Ago”… you will have no difficulty visualizing Cinderella’s romantic waltz as you listen to her rendition of this classic song.
Even jazz greats like Miles Davis recognized the potential of the song “If I Were A Bell”, from Guys & Dolls… Robin’s “pacing” on this performance is excellent, and she will have you donning your dancing shoes in only seconds as you listen to her play it!
After over a year of pandemic restrictions, what we all need is “Happiness”, and Robin’s crystal clear recording of this marvelous song will help your spirits soar above any gloom you may have experienced as you celebrate the return of the “big shows”.
Of the twenty tantalizing tunes Robin offers up, I had no trouble (at all) in making my choice for personal favorite… it’s another Rodgers & Hammerstein tune – “I Have Dreamed”, from The King and I… this song reflects true love in all its glory, and Robin’s performance lends a “celestial” feel to it!
This album is certainly among Robin’s best, and she gets a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with a (perfect) “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 5.00 – which means she also gets a “PICK” from me for “best Broadway album”.
