I first fell in love with Johannes’s vibrant style when I reviewed his “Midnight Rhumba” album… his new release features Johannes on guitar, Anastasios Bigas on cajon, Geoff Hlibka on rhythm guitar, Jarrod Ross on bass, and The Great Jordini himself, Jordan Abraham on accordion… as you listen to the shimmering beauty they express on “Jacaranda“, you’ll be as convinced as I am that DJ’s on all types of stations ’round the globe will be plugging this into their playlists regularly… it’s truly one of the most enjoyable songs I’ve listened to (yet) in 2021!
If you haven’t visited any drinking/partying establishments lately (due to COVID-19, perhaps), you’ll easily remember how joyful they can be as you listen to the richly emotional tones on “La Taberna” (The Tavern) … Johannes’s guitar is crystal clear and will have you up and dancing in only moments on this nostalgic song.
“The Great Jordini“, featured in the video above, opens the album with great vigor… this is another tune that I predict DJ’s will be playing over and over (and OVER) again… when it comes to inspirational – it doesn’t GET any better than this, folks!
I had no difficulty in making my choice for personal favorite of the eleven exciting tunes Johannes has offered up… “The Garden of Forever” uses magical instruments and awesome playing to take you on a tour of the beauty that is to come… you will be captivated from the first note to the closing bar.
