Swinging infectious jazz joy Doug Macdonald – I’ll See You In My Dreams

Swinging infectious jazz joy Doug Macdonald – I’LL SEE YOU IN MY DREAMS:  It’s always pure pleasure to get a new album in from jazz guitarist Doug, and on this new one, he gives you some of the most swinging infectious jazz you’ll ever listen to.  First, check out this short clip of Doug playing for you…

If you dug that as much as I did, you’ll want to make sure you SUBSCRIBE to Doug’s YouTube channel, where you can watch many more of his ultra-cool performances.

Doug’s guitar is joined by pianist Tamir Hendelman, bassist John Clayton and drummer Jeff Hamilton… as you listen to their interpretation of “I Got It Bad (And That Ain’t Good)“, you’ll immediately realize that you’re in the presence of total jazz mastery!

The quartet’s laid-back pace on “More Yesterdays Than Tomorrows” made it an “instant hit” for me, and I have no doubt you’ll be spinning this tune over and over again… DJ’s are gonna’ love this 3:05 gem, too.

Strong piano from Tamir on “Don’cha Go ‘way Mad“, and high-energy performances from Doug and the other players make this one of the best tunes I’ve heard (yet) in 2022!

It was the swingin’ performance on the opening title track, “I’ll See You In My Dreams”, that made it my personal favorite of the nine songs offered up on this jumpin’ jazz journey… total movement from each of the artists.

I give Doug and his players a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.99.  Get more information on Doug’s website.    Rotcod Zzaj
