Intimate piano bass duos Alex Sjobeck and David Baker – Pictures In Time

Intimate piano bass duos Alex Sjobeck and David Baker – PICTURES IN TIME:  Being a pianist myself (it’s been many years since I played publicly), I’m highly impressed by Alex’s keyboard skills, and David’s bass is exquisite… together, they give you intimate piano bass duos that you’ll fall in love with immediately.  First, check out the opening track from the album on YouTube, “Answer Song“…

You’ll also find other albums when you SUBSCRIBE to Alex’s YouTube channel, as I did right away.

I found the mysterious tones of the 5:24 “Aravah” absolutely intriguing… the length of the tune is perfect for radio, and I fully expect you’ll be hearing jazz DJ’s around the globe spinning this frequently on their playlists!

Alex’s one-note intro on the fascinating “Indigo” is joined by the bass plucking extraordinaire, then they forge off into one of the most beautiful duos you’ll ever listen to… it’s clear from this performance just how much they love playing music together.

If you love laid-back pacing, you’ll find the 4:46 “Cyclical” becomes one of your “instant hits”… I can tell you right now, it will hold you totally spellbound… I am already spinning this tune over and over again!

I’m not sure where the title “Chewbear” came from, but the song will evoke images of joy for you, I have no doubt… a very rewarding listen, full of life and the wonderment of living it.

The 7:36 “Liberation” was on my radar as personal favorite of the nine notable songs offered up as soon as I heard it… there are elements of several styles in the song, even simple yet vibrant blues that will stay in your head for years to come.  I’ll go so far as to say that it’s one of my favorite songs in 2022!

I give Alex and David a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.99 for this unique jazz experience.  Get more information on the Outside In Music Bandcamp page for the album.                         Rotcod Zzaj
