Stylish sophisticated jazz vocal artistry Jackie Allen – A Romantic Evening with Jackie Allen Live at the Rococo

Stylish sophisticated jazz vocal artistry Jackie Allen – A ROMANTIC EVENING WITH JACKIE ALLEN LIVE AT THE ROCOCO:  When I first reviewed Jackie’s stylish sophisticated jazz vocal artistry on her “Rose Fingered Dawn” album, I was so impressed that I gave her a “PICK”; her work with husband, producer and bassist Hans Sturm on this new (totally LIVE) release is just amazing… here’s a (short) clip from the show…

…as you heard, Jackie speaks about the fantastic players on the new album (which also includes a Blu-Ray DVD)… you’ll also find many enchanting video performances when you SUBSCRIBE to her YouTube channel, as I did (right away, I might add).

Jackie’s mighty mellow vocals on tunes like the 5:08 “You Are So Beautiful” are joined by special guest, saxophonist Bob Sheppard, and Jackie’s longtime Chicago based recording band: pianist Ben Lewis, guitarist John Moulder, world percussionist Dane Richeson, and bassist Hans Sturm in one of the most memorable live jazz sets you’ll listen to this year (or ANY year, for that matter)… there’s real SOUL in there, folks!

The upbeat performance on the opener, “What A Little Moonlight Can Do“, will just blow you away… you’ll definitely be up on your feet & cuttin’ up the rug as you listen to this swingin’ tune… I predict this one will be getting some MASSIVE airplay.

It’s the closer, “Nobody Does It Better“, that (easily) got my vote for personal favorite… if you’re (even the least bit) romantically inclined, you’ll be listening to this performance over and over again!

I give Jackie and her players a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.99… Get more information about Jackie and her projects on the Jackie Allen website.         Rotcod Zzaj
