Spirited soulful jazz guitar Frank Piombo – FAMILY CONCEPT: It’s always cool to get music in from old friends… jazz guitarist Frank Piombo was most recently reviewed for his “Sleepwalk” album, and his spirited soulful jazz guitar on his latest release (his fifth album, by the way) will help you get your groove on, to be sure… he was recently inducted into the Indie Music Hall of Fame, and here, you’ll see him give you an “up close & personal” explanation of his albums…
…be sure you SUBSCRIBE to Frank’s YouTube channel, also, where you’ll find many more exciting jazz performances.
If you totally dig jazz guitar that digs down deep into the soul (like I do), you’re going to fall in love right away with the funky sounds Frank creates for you on the 4:03 “Green Lights & Rainbows“… the organ work on this tune is near & dear to my heart (since my own playing is on keyboards)… DJ’s around the globe will be giving this tune some HUGE airplay, I predict!
When your mood is in “laid-back mode”, you’ll find “After Hours” to be very much to your liking… Frank’s mellow guitar style on this tune stands above the rest, and the song will bring back many memories of cool times you’ve had with family and friends, I’ve no doubt.
Frank’s own words do a great job of explaining what the albums all about… celebration of “everything wonderful that you share with those whom you call family“… “Song For My Children” will give you splendid visions of family block parties and dancing in the streets – a true celebration!
There was no question in my mind that the opener, “Love Dat Smooth Latte“, would be my choice for personal favorite of the six upbeat and tantalizing tunes Frank has provided for our jazz joyfulness… this one just “stays in your head”, causing you to dance around the room for hours. Some SUPER sax work on this one
I give Frank a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.98 for this highly enjoyable EP. Get more information on Frank’s website. Rotcod Zzaj
