Sensational A Capella vocal jazz Accent – Christmas All The Way

Sensational A Capella vocal jazz Accent – CHRISTMAS ALL THE WAY:  I got my first taste of “Accent” when I reviewed their “In This Together” album, where they were so good they got a “PICK” from me… I’ll tell you right now that “seasonal” albums aren’t always my favorite to review, but as you watch this high-energy trailer they created for the album, you’ll see and hear why I fell in love with their work right away…

…there are many other exciting vocal performances there, so be sure to SUBSCRIBE to their YouTube channel – I did.

The release of this wonderful album is scheduled for tomorrow, October 18th, 2019… since there are no samples available yet, you’ll have to just trust my ears when I say that you’ve never heard Christmas songs this jazzified (I’ll come back and add them when I’m told the album has gone live)… a perfect example is the lively & upbeat “Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!”… the big band that works behind the group’s stellar vocals is absolutely amazing!

The vocals are the focus on “I’ll Be Home for Christmas”, and the singers (Tenor 1 – Jean-Baptiste Craipeau (France); Tenor 2 – Simon Åkesson (Sweden);Tenor 3 – Danny Fong (Canada); Tenor 4 – Andrew Kesler (Canada); Baritone – James Rose (England) and Bass – Evan Sanders (USA)) provide just the kind of energy the jolly season demands.

My personal favorite of the ten songs offered up for your holiday pleasure is “A Holly Jolly Christmas”… again, the vocals on this performance just shine!

I give “Accent” and their players a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) rating of a (perfect) 5.00; that means, of course, that they (again) get a “PICK” from me for “best jazz vocal holiday album”.  Get more information on the Accent website.           Rotcod Zzaj
