Purely perfect fluid jazz Enrico Rava/Matthew Herbert/Giovanni Guidi – For Mario (Live)

Purely perfect fluid jazz Enrico Rava/Matthew Herbert/Giovanni Guidi – FOR MARIO (LIVE):  I just can’t emphasize how strongly this struck accord for my ears, folks… though their work together is in quite a different jazz “vein” than my friend Pat Battstone, they create purely perfect fluid jazz that will take you all the way to the edge (and back, if you’re lucky).  To get an intimate view of their sonic magic, be sure to check out this video from an earlier performance @NYLON FESTIVAL…

…you’ll find many more exciting video when you SUBSCRIBE to the NIKOLIPPO1979 YouTube channel… if you appreciate creative music, you will do that instantly.

Since this doesn’t go live until 22 May, 2020, you probably won’t find samples yet… Enrico’s ultra-solid trumpet skill is complimented wonderfully by magical piano from Giovanni and ethereal electronics from Matthew on tunes like “Part 2″… it’s an 8:30 excursion to the very edges of the universe, folks!

Even the shortest tune on the album, “Part Four”, is chock-full of surprises for the listener… I was especially intrigued by the samples and electronics on this one… I predict that DJ’s will be giving this some MASSIVE airplay.

It only took one listen through the digital-only release to make my choice for personal favorite… the closer, “Part Five”, gives Enrico’s horn all the latitude needed to craft a sonic adventure you will never forget… simple, yet full of beauty!

I give this trio a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with a (perfect) “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 5.00… which means that it also gets a “PICK” from me for “most intriguing jazz improvisations”.  Get more information as it becomes available on Enrico’s website.            Rotcod Zzaj
