Powerful healing music for today Prem Vidu/Encounter – Medicine Songs From Ma

Powerful healing music for today Prem Vidu/Encounter – MEDICINE SONGS FROM MA:  Obviously, I review a lot of music, but I can tell you that this is among the most powerful and healing music I’ve listened to (yet) in 2020.  Though I didn’t see live videos from this release, if you SUBSCRIBE to the Prem Vidu & The Band of Now channel on YouTube, you’ll find several other stirring performances to enjoy.

The album doesn’t release until the end of May, 2020, so you’ll have to take my word for it, but I can tell you that your soul will soar as you listen to the raw and pure beauty generated on “Mighty Presence”… there’s some solid percussion on the intro, and right at the :38 mark, the words will stir emotions you may have thought long gone, especially lines like “Your piercing stare cuts me to my knees with overwhelming force”… you will FEEL the power of the universe through Prem’s simple words!

“Oh Your Glory” features players who totally “grok” our collective need for surrender to the powers that guide and direct us… you’ll hear Prem Vidu on vocals, nylon guitar, shakers, kartals, cajon and our friend David Vito Gregoli doing sitar, banjo, charango, acoustic guitars, electric guitars, piano, synths and fretless bass… a message we all need in these so-troubled times.

My choice for personal favorite of the eight (long) songs offered up has Prem and David again, but they add flugelhorn/trumpet from Max Ribner… “Everything That Is Here” is the closer, and will give you exactly the kind of solace you need to continue no matter what your journey may bring… I predict this song will be considered for (and WIN) an award!

I give Encounter a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.99 for this wonderful album.  Get more information on Prem Vidu’s website.             Rotcod Zzaj
