Relaxing inspiring musical magic Bernward Koch – Becoming

Relaxing inspiring musical magic Bernward Koch – BECOMING:   This is a brand-new artist (for us), though pianist and multi-instrumentalist Bernward’s relaxing inspiring musical magic has been on the scene for a very long time… I was especially impressed by a quote from him on his website… “music gives wings to a brighter life”… and as you listen to the beauty he creates on this new release, you will be soaring with the eagles, no doubt.  Though I didn’t see any LIVE videos from the new album on Bernward’s YouTube topic channel, you will find the entire playlist for “BECOMING” there, as well as video creations from many of his other performances.

The strings Bernward weaves into the highly engaging “Mysterious Afterglow” give the listener just the kind of healing power we all need right now… I would be very surprised if this piece isn’t nominated for an award… in fact, I believe it will WIN an award!

The 3:59 “Sparkling Eyes” is a tune that DJ’s (of all stripes) will be selecting for airplay and spinning often… the piano is crystal-clear, and the strings will soothe even the most savage of souls… a simple, yet beautiful composition and performance.

One of the most impressive songs I’ve listened to (yet) in 2020 is Bernward’s “A Swan Dream“… it’s full of sonic imagery that will have you dreaming of soft summer days by ponds and streams, to be sure… what really stands out on this wonderful tune is the sense of “balance” Bernward has about the creation of musical beauty!

There are some “darker” sounds on the intro to the 4:24 closer, “Long Long Time Ago“… at about the 1:25 mark, though, hope for brighter days emerges, and will hold you totally captivated.

Of the thirteen sonic adventures Bernward offers up for our aural enjoyment, I found the 7:14 “Floating Leaves” to be my choice for personal favorite… a strong sense of movement and life infuses the tune with LIFE!

I give Bernward a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.99 for this most enjoyable hour of music.  Get more information about this fascinating creative on Bernward’s website.                               Rotcod Zzaj
