Naturally enchanting vocals Mayita Dinos – The Garden Is My Stage

Naturally enchanting vocals Mayita Dinos – THE GARDEN IS MY STAGE:  Mayita’s vocal skills are just the kind of natural & enchanting inspiration we need in times of such trouble… her focus on the garden comes across brilliantly, especially on tunes like “Woodstock” (which, if you remember, had Joni Mitchell telling us that “we’ve got to get ourselves back to the garden”).  Since the album doesn’t officially release until May 30th, 2020, you won’t find samples yet, but if you SUBSCRIBE to Mayita’s YouTube channel, you’ll find many videos to enjoy.

I’m sure it’s no coincidence that she sings one of my favorite songs from Stevie Wonder, “Come Back As a Flower”… Mayita’s voice is crystal-clear, and brings this tune to life… I predict that DJ’s on all types of stations will be spinning this one frequently!

What’s most noticeable for this listener is the diversity of styles Mayita offers up on this wonderful album… a sterling example of that is her performance on Freddie Hubbard’s “Little Sunflower”… her richly-toned vocals make this one of the best renditions of the song I’ve ever listened to.

A truly mellow jazz vibe comes through very clearly as you listen to Mayita singing Monk’s “Pannonica“… perfect recording and lively performance make this one a true winner for all!

I give Mayita and her players a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.98 for this fine album.  Get more information on Mayita’s website.                         Rotcod Zzaj
