Memorable virtuosic jazz-funk Afro Yaqui Music Collective – Maroon Futures

Memorable virtuosic jazz-funk Afro Yaqui Music Collective – MAROON FUTURES: I have absolutely no doubt your ears will be jumpin’ (just like mine are) as you listen to the memorable virtuosic jazz-funk this group produces for your enlightenment and sonic pleasure… put your headphones on first & groove right along with them on the total groove of the 10:04 “We Refuse To Be Used and Abused“…

The player list is way too long to itemize here, so scroll to the bottom of that video and scope it out… & since you’re right there already, be sure to SUBSCRIBE to the Afro Yaqui Music Collective, where you’ll find more to get on DOW-un with.

If the last year or so haven’t taught you that we must all STAND together, then this band’s message will do that, to be sure… just listen to them bring the love into your living room on tunes like “Ya Habibi” (“My Love”).. this 5:39 gem will be getting MASSIVE airplay on stations of all types ’round the globe, I predict!

For a true 21st Century perspective on the coming matriarchy, dressed ever so delightfully in the same kind of phunk-i-NESS that you might hear from Funkadelic, you need to listen to “Sister Soul“… the hip-shakin’ changes on this tune alone make the album well worth the purchase.

After listening through the entire 44-minute sonic gem twice, it was the aforementioned “We Refuse To Be Used and Abused” that won my vote for personal favorite of the six swingin’ songs offered up… it just don’t GET no funkier than this, peepz!

I give all the players on Afro Yaqui Music Collective a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with a (perfect) “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 5.00… meaning that they also get a “PICK” from me for “best 21st Century funk”.  Get more information on the Afro Yaqui Music Collective page for the album.                                            Rotcod Zzaj
