In The Spirit of Zawinul David Helbock – Austrian Syndicate pre-release review

In The Spirit of Zawinul David Helbock – AUSTRIAN SYNDICATE:  I was more than ecstatic when I spun the first few bars of the opening tune, Joe’s “Money In The Pocket“… the artistry and energy displayed on all dozen tunes is definitely in the spirit of Zawinul… but don’t let me sway you with my words… WATCH them in action first…

This band smokes… in addition to David’s fantastic keyboard works, you’ll also hear Peter Madsen – piano, Raphael Preuschl – bass & bass ukulele, Herbert Pirker – drums, Claudio Spieler – percussion, Guests: Alex Acuña – percussion, Lakecia Benjamin – saxophone, Maria João – voice, Fred Wesley – trombone and Dhafer Youssef – voice.

The music is a fusion lovers’ dream… I have no doubt you will fall in love with it right away… to watch and hear more of their boundless joy when you SUBSCRIBE to David’s channel on YouTube!

The official release date for the album is one day after my birthday, on 22 September, 2023… you can also pre-order the digital version of the album on David’s Bandcamp page for the album, or listen to it on Spotify, below…
