Highly charged jazz adventures Dave Glasser – Hypocrisy Democracy

Highly charged jazz adventures Dave Glasser – HYPOCRISY DEMOCRACY:   Despite the album title, saxophonist Dave Glasser’s new 8 May, 2020, highly charged jazz adventures offer up hope for the future… Dave is joined by pianist Andy Milne, bassist Ben Allison, and drummer Matt Wilson, and as you’ll see in the trailer video below, they have got it totally together…

If you haven’t heard Dave’s stellar saxophone work before, you’re going to fall in love with him as soon as you listen to “Freedom”… a tasty mix of chaos past and well-defined hope for the future… late night jazz DJ’s are going to be spinning this one OFTEN, folks!

“Coffee, Dogs, and Telelogs” chronicles a simple walk down the street, and paints nice, clear images for the listener… Dave’s reeds are just KILLER on this tune.

You (& your ears) will be floating free on the funky beats Dave & crew bring to life on “It’s Nothing New”… this is some of the freshest and most creative jazz I’ve listened to (yet) in 2020!

There are so many solid compositions on this album that it took me two listens to choose my personal favorite of the eleven offered up for our jazz journey… the closer, “Minor Madness”, is straight-up & straight-ahead coolness that true jazz fans everywhere will be spinning over & over again.

I give Dave & all his players a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.98 for this highly collectible release.  Get more information on Dave’s website.               Rotcod Zzaj
