Emotionally charged jazz vocals Mavis Pan – Set For Love

Emotionally charged jazz vocals Mavis Pan – SET FOR LOVE:  This is my first exposure to the emotionally charged jazz vocals that Mavis creates for jazz lovers everywhere – and I can tell you (with certainty) that it won’t be the last… each tune digs deep down into the soul, and will touch you deeply… to get an intimate look at the creation of this excellent work, watch the trailer Mavis created for the album…

…as you can see, if you’re a lover of jazz vocals, this album is a “must-have”… be sure to SUBSCRIBE to Mavis’s YouTube channel, so you can enjoy many more of her magical performances.

Mavis is joined by lyricist David Keyes and Grammy Award-winning drummer and producer Ulysses Owens, Jr., as well as a whole host of other players… you’ll hear the joy she brings to all her vocals on the opener, “Twilight Music” – full of LIFE and intensity, to be sure… I predict that this tune will be getting MAJOR airplay on jazz stations ’round the globe!

I found “When This Boy Dreams” to be one of the most lovely jazz vocals I’ve listened to (yet) in 2019… I have no doubt that you will be spinning this tune over & over again, too.

One thing that truly sets Mavis apart from the 100’s (if not thousands) of other jazz vocalists is that she composes & sings in such a broad variety of styles… in fact, the tune I found to be my personal favorite of the dozen originals she offers up is the blues-oriented “Soulmate“… a song that will give you hope for your own new (& lost) loves.

I give Mavis and her bandmates a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.98 for this splendid album.  Get more information on her All About Jazz profile page.           Rotcod Zzaj
