delightfully dynamic jazz duo Robert Prester & Adriana Samargia – Quenara

delightfully dynamic jazz duo Robert Prester & Adriana Samargia – QUENARA:  Pianist Robert and vocalist/flutist Adriana are no strangers here… we reviewed their “First Snow” album a couple of years ago and enjoyed it immensely.  This new 19 January, 2024 release gives you delightfully dynamic jazz to enjoy for years to come… watch an earlier video of them performing together to get a feel for their style together…

Be sure to SUBSCRIBE to their YouTube channel, where you can watch other invigorating performances as well.

The magical range of Robert’s keyboard mastery will totally enchant you on the 4:29 “Altar Ego“, an original by Robert… when Adriana joins in with her suave and lovely vocals, you’ll find your ears and your heart immediately captured!

Adriana introduces their cover of “Body and Soul” that ranges from “lilting” to “full-blown scat”; the wonderful juxtaposition with Robert’s powerful piano made this (without question) my personal favorite of the dozen songs offered up for this jubilant jazz journey.

If you’re looking for piano/vocal jazz full of power and presence, you’ll agree with me when I give it a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.99.  An excellent jazz experience for all!
