Wonderful solo piano interlude David Astrom – PIECES OF PEACE: This splendid EP came to me from Stockholm, Sweden… David’s wonderful solo piano work will enchant you, and you’ll find yourself playing this over and over again.
I was drawn in (right away) to songs like the beautiful “Winter Waltz“… David knows how to use the “silent spaces” between notes to attract your ears to his splendid playing, too… the mark of a true artist!
Though I didn’t find any “live” videos of his playing, many of his songs are also available on David’s YouTube channel; I recommend you SUBSCRIBE to this, as I’m quite sure he will have more videos posting soon.
The recording is flawless, and you will be hitting the “replay” button often on compositions like my personal favorite of the three offered up, the 3:40 “You Are Special“… David uses the lower registers of his keyboard most effectively on this song, even coaxing some magical overtones from it… very peaceful, indeed!
