Tom Moore & Sherry Finzer superb space music Tom Moore & Sherry Finzer – Let There Be Light

Tom Moore & Sherry Finzer superb space music Tom Moore & Sherry Finzer – LET THERE BE LIGHT: I have been reviewing & working with Sherry for quite some time now, as part of her efforts at HeartDance Music… there aren’t many folks who run labels who are also highly talented players – but Sherry certainly is… before I even get started on my review, I think it’s important for you to watch this wonderfully produced video of her performance with multi-instrumentalist Tom Moore on “Waves of Light” from their new album…

…the liner notes say that the album’s purpose is to “bring light to the listener in as many forms as possible”… if you watch this more than a couple of times, you will (both) hear and see that they’ve certainly achieved their goal… simple, but powerful!

Your ears won’t believe how precise the natural sounds are on “Full Moon Night“, and Tom’s excellent sense of how to produce sounds that encourage the listener to travel far beyond the woes of daily life make this song one of the best you’ll hear in 2017!

Sherry’s soul-stirring and deep-toned flute on “Tides of Time” helps to guide your spirit through those shimmering waves, and the wonderful sounds Tom creates in accompaniment really only have one word that can describe them – “otherworldly”… I just LOVED this piece.

If you’re a dedicated fan of music that has beautiful atmospheric qualities, you will be listening to the album opener, “The Way of the White Clouds“, over and over again… Tom and Sherry have abilities together that many other players can only dream about… their “pacing” (as I call it) is both serene and vibrant with healing energy!

Of the nine sublime tunes offered up for your enlightenment, it is (without doubt) the 6:05 “A Celebration of Life” that got my vote for personal favorite… the rhythm component brought on by the simple guitar line that introduces the tune leads right into some of the most alluring and appealing flute you will ever listen to, and the strings will transport you (easily) into the glowing light.

I give Tom and Sherry a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, with a (perfect) “EQ” (energy quotient) rating of 5.00… meaning that they also get a “PICK” from me for “most enlightening album of 2017”.  Get more information at the HeartDance Recordings page for the album.          Rotcod Zzaj
