Tantalizing Sam Jones tribute jazz The Tnek Jazz Quintet – Plays The Music of Sam Jones

Tantalizing Sam Jones tribute jazz The Tnek Jazz Quintet – PLAYS THE MUSIC OF SAM JONES:  The quintet is Kent Miller-Bass, Darius Scott-Piano, Greg Holloway-Drums, Antonio Parker-Alto Sax and Benny Russell-Tenor & Soprano Sax, playing together fluidly on a tantalizing Same Jones tribute… absolutely killer work that jazz fans around the world will have to HAVE in their collections.  You can watch all of the players (except Antonio) in this splendid LIVE video from August, 2019…

…there aren’t a lot more videos there right now, but if you SUBSCRIBE to the Tnek Jazz LLC YouTube channel, I’m betting you’ll see more soon (hint! hint!).

On the new CD, you’ll be groovin’ right away as you listen to the 4:48 “Bittersuite“… superb horn interplay, and the tune length, are going to make this a “standard” for jazz DJ’s… I predict this one will be getting some MASSIVE airplay… SCORCHING energy!

The energy levels stay palpable on swingin’ songs like “Del Sasser“… the players just GRAB your ears & won’t let go… a heckuvva’ ride from the opening note to the closing bar… again, the horn interplay is both amazing and attractive… no “showboating” on this piece, the quintet is totally tight all the way through this 5:36 gem.

It was very easy to make my choice for personal favorite of the seven songs offered up on this jumpin’ jazz journey… “Some More of Dat” is the epitome of jazz that just won’t quit… one of the liveliest tunes I’ve listened to (yet) in 2020!

I give The Tnek Jazz Quintet a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.98.  Get more information on the Tneck jazz website.      Rotcod Zzaj
