Supremely gratifying sound design Michael Whalen – Imaginary Trains

Supremely gratifying sound design Michael Whalen – IMAGINARY TRAINS:  You absolutely need to join multi-instrumentalist Michael on his latest release… he creates (as he always does) supremely gratifying sound design… to get a feel for it, watch the video for the first single from the album, featuring Ricky Kej’s Bansuri flute, “Across The World To Be With You“…

The visuals are simply stunning, right?  Be sure you SUBSCRIBE to Michael’s YouTube channel, so you can enjoy the diverse range of Michael’s offerings there… I’ve been signed up there for a couple of years now.

What I love most about the beautiful “The Wayward Sun” is the sense of sound “radiating” through Michael’s fingers… you will feel the glory of every sunrise you’ve ever experienced on this song… the 4:16 length of the song will make this a favorite for DJ’s (of all stripes) across the globe, I predict!

If you’ve ever ridden a train, you’ll realize right away that Michael has captured the essence of that excitement on the title track, “Imaginary Trains“… you’ll see every vista rushing by you on this sweet sonic journey.

Electronic music is sometimes perceived as being “without soul”… nothing could be further from reality than what Michael creates for our ears on the deeply moving “Dream Together“… I (most strongly) advise that you listen to this piece with your headphones on, so you can catch every stunning nuance of the inspiring tapestry he weaves for you here!

The closer, “Distance“, features engaging vocals from Donna Lewis, and will have you totally wrapped up in the tune in only moments… the kind of song that can haunt you, and come back to you at any moment.

After my second listen through the album, there was no doubt in my mind that my choice for personal favorite of the eleven amazing creations was “Journey to Lights Edge“… be prepared for travel through the outer reaches of the universe on this stellar song!

I give Michael and his artists a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with a (perfect) “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 5.00… meaning that he also gets a “PICK” from me for “most engaging electronic album”.  Get more information at the Michael Whalen website as it becomes available.         Rotcod Zzaj
