Super soulful jazz vocals Kenny Washington -What’s The Hurry

Super soulful jazz vocals Kenny Washington – WHAT’S THE HURRY: I hadn’t heard Kenny’s super soulful jazz vocals before, so this is truly a treat… to get an intimate and up-close look at his mellow singing style, check out this (older) video of him in a live performance…

…there weren’t any live videos from this debut vocal CD, but if you SUBSCRIBE to Kenny’s Topic channel on YouTube, you’ll find several of his album.

You haven’t really “heard” mellow until you listen to Kenny’s tasty performance on “The Stars Fell On Alabama“… his voice is absolutely unique, and I expect jazz DJ’s around the globe will be spinning this track over & over again!

Kenny’s fully capable of punchin’ out some of the most gut-wrenching feelings, too… you’ll hear just how eloquent he is as you listen to “I Ain’t Got Nothin’ But The Blues“… Josh Nelson’s piano helps to make this one swing, as well as high-talent players like Gary Brown (acoustic bass), Lorca Hart (drums) and Victor Goines (tenor sax and clarinet).

It was really quite easy to make my choice for personal favorite of the eleven exciting tunes Kenny offers up for us… his performance on Harold Arlen’s “I’ve Got The World On A String” absolutely makes your jazz day!

I give Kenny and all his players a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.98.  Get more information on Kenny’s page for the release.                                   Rotcod Zzaj
