Stylish svelte jazz guitar Anson Wright – Only Love

Stylish svelte jazz guitar Anson Wright – ONLY LOVE:  I had the great pleasure of meeting Anson during the Montavilla Jazz Festival; his work was already familiar to me from having reviewed his “Ukiah’s Lullaby” release a few years back… in addition to Anson’s stylish svelte jazz guitar, you’ll hear Jasnam Daya Singh -Piano, Brian Casey -Bass and Todd Scott Bishop -Drums… the entire album is available by SUBSCRIBING to Anson’s YouTube channel, or simply clicking below…

Anson is truly a master guitarist and composer, and that will become fully clear as you listen to his splendid original, “Inner Motion“… it captures the spirit of a “mover” very nicely… DJ’s are going to love this 4:15 gem – you’ll be hearing this tune often on their playlists!

The closing title track, “Only Love“, merits listening with headphones (actually, all of them should be listened to that way, at least for your first sitting)… the recording is flawless, and the player interaction is perfectly timed on every note.

You’ll hear and feel a sense of orchestral grandeur as you listen to Jasnam’s beautiful “All Shall Rise to Thee“… gentle, yet full of power and (at the same time) reverence, the song is one of the most brilliant I’ve listened to (yet) in 2020!

My ears were totally in awe as I listened to Anson’s “Chelsea“… the song is crafted with very pleasurable pacing, and was (hands down) my choice for personal favorite of the nine (long) tunes offered up…

I give Anson and all his players a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.98 for this superb release.  Get more information on Anson’s BandCamp page for the album.                                               Rotcod Zzaj
