Rousing romantic jazz vocals Zoe Scott – Shades of Love

Rousing romantic jazz vocals Zoe Scott – SHADES OF LOVE:  What an absolutely cool album to wake up to on this chilly morning in the Great Northwest… Zoe has put together a dozen rousing romantic jazz vocals for your jazz listening pleasure… you can hear her explain it in her own words on this promo video for the album…

…she has several other wonderful videos available to enjoy when you SUBSCRIBE to the Zoe Scott YouTube channel.

Zoe’s lilting vocal on the 4:07 “I’ll Stand by You” is full-bodied and perfectly suited for jazz DJ’s to add into their playlists… I predict this tune will be getting a LOT of airplay!

The string intro for “Wave” is simply beautiful… flawless recording and high-energy vocals from Zoe make this a song you’ll be spinning over and over again… one of the most pleasant jazz vocals I’ve listened to (yet) in 2021.

Antonio Carlos Jobim figures prominently on Zoe’s album… I particularly enjoyed her performance of his “Triste“… the way the backing vocals are woven in is most impressive, too!

Of the dozen fantastic vocals Zoe offers up for our jazz journey, it was “Once I Loved” that got my vote for personal favorite… a sure sign that a jazz vocalist will be at the top of the charts is the ability to “pace” a song with perfection… slow, easy, yet full of emotion, this is a performance that other singers can only envy.

I give Zoe and all her players a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.98.  Get more information on Zoe’s website.            Rotcod Zzaj
