Powerful graceful passionate music Pam Asberry – Thankful Heart, Joyful Mind

Powerful graceful passionate music Pam Asberry – THANKFUL HEART, JOYFUL MIND:  My born day (September equinox) this year has been blessed beyond belief with wonderful music, and Pam’s new holiday album is at the very top of my “inspirational” list!  I reviewed her first release, “Seashells In My Pocket“, last year, and was highly impressed with her ability to talk with the listener through her keyboard… her beautiful interpretations of sacred/secular songs that are familiar to us all is truly unique, and will inspire you (easily) to the joy her album title speaks of.

As you sample the only piece currently available (the album is in “pre-sale” mode now, due to be officially released on 19 October, 2018), “Wexford Carol“, it will be clear to you why I enjoy her playing so much… she has a unique ability to pace her playing so the listener is automatically inclined to “fill in the spaces” in their imagination… and, that’s a gift that many players in today’s arena will be in awe of, I assure you!

One of the songs from my younger days that always got my “in the spirit of the season” is “Over the River and through the Wood”, and Pam’s brilliant playing on this piece will bring you many memories, as well as strong hope for a future all of us can enjoy together… I just love this performance, and have no doubt you will, too.

Pam’s use of the higher registers on her piano to enhance the traditional “Bell Carol Medley” is definitely different than you have ever witnessed before… I wouldn’t be surprised (at all) to see this song nominated for (and WIN) an award… yes, it’s that good!

I had no difficulty in choosing “March of the Kings” as my personal favorite of the dozen wonderful songs Pam offers up for your aural enjoyment… the keyword that best describes the images that came to mind as I listened to the piece is “majestic”.  This tune is the best “seasonal” performance I have heard (yet) in 2018.

I give Pam a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) rating of a (perfect) 5.00… meaning that she also gets my “PICK” for “best holiday season album”.  Get more information and do your pre-order direct from Pam’s Bandcamp page for the album.     Rotcod Zzaj
