newlatitude swirling guitars New Latitude – Vantage Point

newlatitude jazz guitars New Latitude – VANTAGE POINT:  This fine album was just released on the 7th of May, 2017, and features some world-class players… (Dave Erickson (acoustic guitar); Jim Carr (acoustic guitar); Deon Kuhl (drums & percussion); and Robert Strickland (bass)… I first was exposed to their great energy when I reviewed them in issue # 150 on their first release, and as you listen to tunes like “Just Ride“, you’ll find your aural appendages reacting with pure pleasure.

Everyone these days needs new perspectives, and the brightly-toned “Five Mountain Dance” will renew your spirit with joyous visions of a world made better through music from these fine players… with this playing, it’s SO easy to imagine yourself ’round a campfire a-twirling with abandon!

You get just over 40 minutes of superb music that will make life better for you and those in your sphere of influence… of course, just as in the real world, there are images that remind us of how vigilant we must (all) be in pursuit of life and justice, and the soaring movements on “Birds of Prey” is just such a song… I totally loved this one!

Of the eleven tunes offered up for your aural enjoyment, my personal pick for favorite, though, is “Victorious“, which gives new breath and new life to that oh-so-glorious feeling one gets when they have really achieved a goal.  I give the group a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) rating of 4.99 for this sweet sonic sound experience.  Get more information and meet the players on the New Latitude website.         Rotcod Zzaj
