Lovely layered sonic landscapes Michael Whalen – Sacred Spaces

Lovely layered sonic landscapes Michael Whalen – SACRED SPACES:  If you’ve always considered “ambient electronic” to be “all the same“… endless loops, somewhat uninspired and not worthy for your ears – THINK AGAIN!  I can guarantee that when you listen to the lovely layered sonic landscapes that Michael creates for your inspiration, you’ll realize that he’s introducing you to a whole new sonic universe… before I move on with my critique, I (most STRONGLY) recommend that you watch/listen to this splendid (short) promo video for the new album, which gives you a nice up & close view of his thoughts about the new release…

There’s also a much longer INTERVIEW with him in the following video (this is especially great for aspiring players in the ambient electronic realm)…

If you haven’t done it already, be SURE to SUBSCRIBE to Michael’s YouTube channel, where you’ll find many more intriguing performances.

I was just floored by the dense, rich tapestries Michael painted through the 5:04 “Ordinary Miracles” (the rest of the samples will be available after March 5th, 2020)… this is, in my opinion, an “instant award winner”, and I expect to see it nominated (and WIN) an award!   It would also be to your benefit to watch the VIDEO Michael created for this wonderful song…

You will have delightful visions of powerful currents and waves as you listen to Michael’s total creative genius on the 4:24 “An Ocean of Candlelight“… DJ’s on all types of stations will integrate this into their playlists for YEARS to come.

I have no doubt you will hear the spirits of the universe reaching out to you via the wonderful title track, ” Sacred Spaces“… while this isn’t a “religious” song, it certainly gives credence to the fact that powerful forces are out there to help us through our daily lives… one of the most spiritual pieces of music I’ve ever listened to!

The decision for my personal favorite of the ten magnificent tunes Michael offers up for our enlightenment was easy to make… “The Pure and the Calm” will help you rise above the fray, and realize your dreams in new ways.

I give Michael a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, as well as a (perfect) “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 5.00… it gets my “PICK” for “best ambient electronic release of 2020”.   Get more information about him at the Michael Whalen website.         Rotcod Zzaj
