joyous jubilant jazz Nick Maclean Quartet ft. Brownman Ali – Convergence

joyous jubilant jazz Nick Maclean Quartet ft. Brownman Ali – CONVERGENCE:  If you’re as much of a lover of joyous jubilant jazz as we are, you’ll find this new album irresistible… first, watch the band performing the upbeat and refreshing “Road Warrior“…

You’ll find many more performances to enjoy when you SUBSCRIBE to the Nick Maclean channel on YouTube… I signed up right away.

I had actually reviewed Nick’s work sometime back, on his “Rites Of Ascension” album, where he got high marks from me.

The player list is extensive, and too long to itemize here, but you can view it on the BandCamp page for the album.  One of the things most enjoyable about the album is that 7 of the 11 tracks are originals by Nick… the 7:51 “Lie Of Easy Attainment” definitely qualifies as one of the BEST tunes we’ve listened to (yet) in 2023… twists and turns abound, and made it easy to decide this is my personal favorite of the eleven exciting songs Nick and his crew offer up for this jazz adventure!

Another winner is the closer, an original by trumpeter Brownman Ali… the 8:06 “Wisdom Of Aurelius” takes you all the way from “disguised waltz” to exuberant Latin jazz… one of the most intricate jazz journeys you will ever experience.

I give Nick and all his players a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.99.  The album releases internationally on 24 November, 2023.  Get more information on Nick’s website, or on BandCamp (below).  You will also want to visit Brownman’s website, and the Browntasauras label page, I’ve no doubt.
