Intimate thought provoking jazz Mauricio J Rodriguez Project – Luz

Intimate thought provoking jazz Mauricio J Rodriguez Project – LUZ:  This is my first exposure to bassist Mauricio’s excellent music, but I fully anticipate hearing much more from him in the coming months and years… one keyword describes his playing best – LUSH.  His album provides intimate thought provoking jazz that you will enjoy over and over again… to get an up-close look at his amazing bass work, I recommend that you watch this video first…

When you SUBSCRIBE to Mauricio’s YouTube channel, you’ll find many more live performances, this album and much more to enjoy.

The player list is far too long to itemize here, but you can check it out on the Jazz Promo Services website… on tunes like Mauricio’s 6:32 “Monday“, you’ll hear exactly what I was talking about when I described his music as “lush”… rich tones and high energy will MAKE your week start off perfectly!

If you’re in the mood for music that’s a bit more laid-back, you’ll find “Es el Amor” is what you’re looking for… one of the most beautiful ballads I’ve listened to (yet) in 2021.

The bass and vocal duet on “My Funny Valentine” is (without question) the most unique cover of the song I’ve ever heard… I have no doubt DJ’s everywhere will be plugging this into their playlists often!

My choice for personal favorite of the ten tunes offered up was easy… the closer, Vicente Viloria’s “Vocalize” is bright, full of life and has some totally talented piano work on it.

I give Mauricio and his musical companions a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.98 for this great musical adventure.  Get more information on Mauricio’s website.                                     Rotcod Zzaj
