Glorious soaring captivating beauty Lyle Workman – Uncommon Measures

Glorious soaring captivating beauty Lyle Workman – UNCOMMON MEASURES:  It isn’t often these days that an album captures my attention as firmly as Lyle’s glorious soaring and captivating release has… featuring Lyle’s amazing guitar work, with (get this) a 63-piece orchestra, it’s simply superb… check out this short clip of the artists at work…

What you can (absolutely) count on with Lyle’s music is something new and challenging on every tune… I especially enjoyed tunes like “Noble Savage” (samples aren’t available until mid-February)… absolutely WONDERFUL guitar solos from Lyle, with orchestral arrangements that made me instantly choose this entire album for permanent placement on my iPhone!

As I listened to the invigorating “Rise And Shine“, I couldn’t help but think back to artists like Jean-Luc Ponty; Lyle’s arrangements and total artistry take this piece on into the 21st Century, and his guitar playing is sonic magic.

The sheer beauty of the strings during the opening sequences of  the 7:25 “All The Colors Of The World” segue seamlessly to a change at about the 2:07 mark that elevates the tune into the stratosphere… radio stations (of all types) will be airing this frequently!

It was the energetic approach to life on the opener, “North Star“, that made it my choice for personal favorite of the nine (long) performances offered up… I can honestly say that I haven’t heard music this inspiring from anyone (yet) in 2021.

I give Lyle and all his players a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with a (perfect) “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 5.00… meaning that Lyle’s album also gets a “PICK” from me for “most inspiring musical experience”.  Get more information on Blue Canoe Records page for the release.                                Rotcod Zzaj
