Freshly spun classic jazz organ trio Gerry Eastman Trio – Trust Me

Freshly spun classic jazz organ trio Gerry Eastman Trio – TRUST ME:  I’ve long been a fan (and, actually, a player for many years) of jazz organ, and guitarist Gerry Eastman has put together an exceptional collection of jazz for you to enjoy.  To get an “instant preview” of Gerry’s totally original style, watch this video of the trio first…

Gerry invited Greg Lewis to play organ and Taru Alexander to do drums, and you’ll be just as strongly impressed as I was with tunes like Gerry’s “Native Son” (samples available around October 1st, 2021)… nice slow guitar intro, with Greg’s organ and Taru’s drums gently sliding into the mix as the tune progresses.  DJ’s will love this song!

Over an hour of stellar jazz, and songs like the simply titled “Dance One” will definitely have you up on your feet and moving ’round the room… some of the tastiest jazz you’ll ever listen to on this excellent tune.

The title track, “Trust Me”, is full of marvelous changes that will keep you guessing at each note… this tune, more than all the others, shows Gerry’s magnificent original guitar style!

I had no difficulty (at all) in making my choice for personal favorite of the eight exciting songs offered up… the closer, “Cuban Sunset”, MOVES you from note 1 to the very last bar… an amazing 8:48 jazz adventure, to be sure.

Gerry Eastman trio gets a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.98.  Get more information and purchase the album on the WMC page for the album.                             Rotcod Zzaj
