Freshly minted fusion parables Firasso – Tales

Freshly minted fusion parables Firasso – TALES:  Much of the music we get in for review that is in the “fusion” category is in the jazz realm… the German group Firasso has put together an album of freshly minted fusion parables that manages to cross many genres, and still remain “new music”… to get an idea of just how attractive their style is, watch this video from a year or so back…

You will find many more of their intriguing performances when you SUBSCRIBE to the Robert Beck YouTube channel… if you love “different” music, I highly recommend it.

I found “Ska Problem” most attractive… fiery movement and a true passion for playing their original music makes this a piece that I predict DJ’s (of all stripes) will be integrating into playlists across the globe!

There’s a gentleness on the 5:36 closer, “Lominga“, that other players will only be able to envy… the interaction between the players (Robert Beck clarinet, bass clarinet; Marko Kassl, accordion and Nils Imhorst bass) is wonderful… a song that’s absolutely full of life.

You will feel the wakeup call on “06 55 Uhr“, and greet the new day with a more pleasant outlook, thanks to the high-energy and high-talent of each of the players… I just loved this tune!

It was the sonically descriptive imagery on the beautiful “Valle” that made it my choice as personal favorite of the thirteen tantalizing songs offered up… again, all of the players are passionate about their music, and the energy levels they create for your ears are palpable.

I give the players in Firasso a HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.98.  Get more information on the Jazzfuel page for the release. Rotcod Zzaj
