Fiercely swinging holiday jazz 3D Jazz Trio – Christmas in 3D

Fiercely swinging holiday jazz 3D Jazz Trio – CHRISTMAS IN 3D:  You’re probably wondering how I can describe this as “fiercely swinging holiday jazz”… all you need to do is listen to a couple of the samples and you’ll realize why… this trio takes on every tune with a full-tilt approach… though I didn’t see any LIVE videos for the new release, you can listen to the entire album when you SUBSCRIBE to the 3D Jazz Trio topic channel… or just click below:

The trio is Jackie Warren – piano; Amy Shook – bass & fiddle and Sherrie Maricle – drums, and as you listen to the rip-roaring fiddle on the 3:50 “Please Daddy (Don’t Get Drunk This Christmas)“, you’ll be struttin’ ’round your living room as you cut a rug!

Their treatment of the wonderful old standard “Silent Night” is quite different than you’ve ever heard, I’ll venture to say… I can (definitely) see DJ’s (of all flavors and persuasions) playing this on a regular basis as the season approaches.

I didn’t have to listen through the album but one time to realize what my choice for personal favorite of the ten seasonal tunes offered up would be… the trio makes the old traditional “Greensleeves” their OWN… you’ll be sloggin’ that eggnog back as you enjoy this fine, fine performance.

I give the 3D Jazz Trio a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.99 for this most enjoyable album.  Get more information on the 3D Jazz Trio website as it becomes available.                      Rotcod Zzaj
