Faith Angelina inspired beautiful piano Faith Angelina – Reaching 12

Faith Angelina inspired beautiful piano Faith Angelina – REACHING 12:  It was at about the same age that I first started taking piano lessons, but had not “lived” through near as much as Faith has… to get a bit more insight into this young player and her inspired story, I really recommend that you read her bio page.  You will also want to watch the video embedded below for her song “Twelve”… it gives some very clear insights about her, and with her piano playing in the background, you’ll easily understand why she said of her new album – “Written three days before I turned twelve, this song is my victory march, my celebration, and my statement to the world that I am coming. Being twelve is right in the middle of being a kid and a teenager. This song expresses my desire to take the next step“.

There’s absolutely no doubt as you listen to her full-chord approach on the 3:55 “Eye of the Storm” that she already understands that life is all about “ups and downs” – and surviving them!  Faith wrote “Saying Goodbye” expressing her deep feelings for her brother as he left to serve on a two-year mission for their church… and, of course, it’s not just amazing that she was able to write the tune, but the crystal-clear emotions she paints in her playing of the piece also leads to inspiration… I, too, was raised in a very musical family, so it’s easy to let a tear dribble down my cheek as she helps me to re-live some of my own family experiences through her wonderful playing.

You will want to read her personal description of her tune “Seasons” as you listen to her play it… no question but what Faith is progressing to new and exciting musical stages… we truly need families who encourage their children to pursue their musical gifts as strongly as Faith’s do.  This is a wonderful and inspiring song for all ages!

My personal favorite of the twelve songs Faith composed for this album is “Chasing Rainbows“… it turns out this was a last minute creation that Faith decided was important enough to “bump” one of the other tracks she had in mind… you can hear that this is almost an “improvised” piece (& I know whereof I speak there, for all my piano playing back in the day was also improvised)… the keyword for both her writing and playing is “spontaneous”, and there’s no higher compliment for a piano player, in my mind.  I give Faith a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, with a (perfect) “EQ” (energy quotient) rating of 5.00… of course, that means she also gets my “PICK” for “best young solo piano” album!  Get more information at the Faith Angelina website!
