Exciting freshly minted jazz Chien Chien Lu – Built-in System (Live from New York)

Exciting freshly minted jazz Chien Chien Lu – BUILT-IN SYSTEM (LIVE FROM NEW YORK):  If you’re looking for the very best in exciting, freshly minted jazz, you won’t want to miss this superb upcoming release from vibraphonist Chien Chien Lu.  It officially releases on the 6th of October, 2023… to get a look at Chien Chien’s high-talent creativity, watch this (earlier) LIVE performance (features different band members than the new album, but lets you see Chien Chien in action)…

You’ll also find a great collection of other live performances when you SUBSCRIBE to Chien Chien’s YouTube channel (I subscribed right away – this is an artist I want to keep my ears and eyes on; I have no doubt you’ll be hearing MANY more releases from her).

On this release, in addition to Chien Chien’s beautiful vibraphone work, you’ll also hear trumpet from Jeremy Pelt, bass by Richie Goods and the drums of Allan Mednard.  Though each tune has high merit, it was the full-bodied “Special Things” that really caught my ear and made it my personal favorite of the eight engaging tunes Chien Chien and her players offer up for your total jazz adventure!

You can hear all the songs on Chien Chien’s Bandcamp page for the album, below… this release gets an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.99 from me.
