Diverse modern jazz vocals Lauren White -Life In The Modern World

Diverse modern jazz vocals Lauren White – LIFE IN THE MODERN WORLD:  The word that comes to mind as I listen to Lauren’s modern jazz vocal work is “refreshing”… before i dig deeper into her enchanting style, I (really, REALLY) recommend that you watch the trailer she created for this album…

…ain’t that just SWEET? A stellar cast of players compliments her singing.. Grant Geissman on Guitar, Kevin Axt on bass and Quinn Johnson (Steve Tyrell) on piano, with a guest performance from jazz vocal ACE Mark Winkler on the lively “Till I Get It Right“, too.  She has lots more videos available, so be sure you SUBSCRIBE to her YouTube channel as well.

For a song that’s in the “layback” mode, you’ll definitely dig “Slow Down“… easily one of my favorite jazz vocal tunes (yet) in 2019… the recording is top-flight on this one, no doubt… I predict this will be receiving MAJOR airplay on jazz stations ’round the globe!

There’s a very attractive modern jazz feel on “Monk’s New Tune” shows just how broad the vocal range Lauren has at her command… it wouldn’t be surprising (at all) to see this tune nominated for (& WINNING) awards… ultra-cool, man – I just LOVE the piano on this one.

I had no doubt what my pick for personal favorite would be… the opener & title track, “Life In The Modern World“, really stands out from the rest of the vocal pack… Lauren will hold you spellbound on this performance!

I give Lauren and her players a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.99.  Get more information on Lauren’s website as it becomes available.        Rotcod Zzaj
