Contemplative inspiring solo piano David Nevue – In The Soft Light of Grace

Contemplative inspiring solo piano David Nevue – IN THE SOFT LIGHT OF GRACE:  I’ve been reviewing David’s inspiring solo piano work for a long time now, most recently in issue # 139 (Open Sky), and I can tell you that after listening completely through this new release three times (so far), it is his best work to date.  To get a better sense of his talent, I (most STRONGLY) recommend that you watch his performance on “Sweet Dreams & Starlight”, one of David’s original compositions…

…there are many more performances captured, so be sure to SUBSCRIBE to the David’s channel on YouTube… I did.

I was highly intrigued by some of David’s observations in the promo sheet that accompanied my copy of the album… he was worn out from a heavy schedule and finally realized that the only way out of it was to “stop striving”… when he did just that, the music began to flow again without interruption… an important lesson that’s clearly illustrated on the beautiful (and unhurried) “In the Quiet Alone“… this is (so far) my favorite solo piano piece in 2019!

The opener, “Walking in Trust“, is perfectly paced and full of deep rich tones that will reach down deep into your heart & soul and inspire you to to “just live again”; I predict that this tune will be considered for (and WIN) awards…. simply lovely.

David’s use of the high registers and subsequent overtones on “The Wind Blows Where It Wishes” is full of life an vigor that will help you rise up from whatever slump you may have been in and move on to better things… I just loved this composition!

It was really easy to make my selection for personal favorite of the thirteen songs David has offered up… “Where the Water Flows” opens with some darker tones that gradually morph into some of the sweetest ripples you’ve ever listened to; my advice is that you listen (at least for your first sitting) with headphones on, so you can absorb every nuance of this excellent piece of music.

I give David a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.99.  Get more information on David’s website.         Rotcod Zzaj
