Classy alternative adult rock funk soul and pop Big Merino – Sweet Little Angel

Classy alternative adult rock funk soul and pop Big Merino – SWEET LITTLE ANGEL:  This is a brand-new band for me, which is to be expected, since they’re coming to us all the way from down-under (Australia)… before I even start with my thoughts on the songs, here’s a great video they made for the title track, “Sweet Little Angel“…

…you can tell by now that these folks are geniuses at “telling the story”… I just LOVED the “road shots” in the video – very well put together… they don’t have many videos yet, but be sure to SUBSCRIBE to their YouTube channel, & I’ll bet you see a whole lot more in short order.

As far as I can tell, I’m the first reviewer in the U.S. to have the opportunity to review these folks… I can tell you (right NOW, right ON) that they “have it“… as you listen to the powerful funky feel they generate on “This Song“, you’ll be up on your feet & dancin’ ’round the room, for sure… PERFECT music for ridin’ on down th’ road – makes me want to get back on my motorcycle, for sure… & the guitar solos just SMOKE IT, folks!

I just love the variety in the eleven songs they’ve produced… if you’re looking for something that will take you (way back) to the ’60’s, you’re gonna’ love “I Watched The Light“… touches of soulful gospel in their singing & playing style will bring a tear to your eye as you listen to this fine tune, to be sure.

Their cover of Neil Young’s “Ohio” packs all the fury & punch we all felt as we lived through those terrible days… Big Merino brings new life to the tune, and those guitars are (once again) ROCKIN’ it… I predict this will be getting some MAJOR spins on stations ’round the globe!

It wasn’t difficult (at all) to choose my personal favorite of the eleven pulsating songs… the soulfully rockin’ “Living In The Past” needs to be played at FULL VOLUME, & you need to put your dancin’ shoes ON – ‘coz you WILL BE slip-slidin’ ’round the room with this funky music.

I give Big Merino a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.99.  Get more information about the band on the Foghorn news & media page for the album.              Rotcod Zzaj
