Charlie Saibel music jazz Charlie Saibel – Park Bench Muse

Charlie Saibel music jazz Charlie Saibel – PARK BENCH MUSE:  I feel almost as good as Charlie does about this great release, in part because I helped push him towards making it.  As you listen to his all-original songs, you’ll find yourself experiencing pure enjoyment, especially on little rockers like “Lemon Drop“… it certainly took me back to my good old days… you know, Hot Rods & custom built engines, & Charlie really brings that spirit back on this tune.

Since Charlie lives right here in Olympia, my home base, it was easy for us to stay in touch with the project from scratch to last mix… here’s a video I took of his first public performance of the opening track on the album, “Juju Gettin’ Out”…

If you’re as big a fan of tasty and skillful organ playing as I am, you won’t be able to stop listening to Charlie playing “It’s Not About Me“… a really cool tune, because he spins his organ all the way through the 1:30 mark before he cuts in with the lyrics he penned for this great song – talk about jazzy!  This track is constantly hitting “replay” on my car player.

Many of you know it, but for those who don’t, Charlie grew up right here in the Magickland of Olywa, and he’s been playing keyboards ever since he was a wee young lad… in fact, he met the love of his life right here & even wrote a song about her… his “Gemini” speaks right on out, but she’s is lady, no doubt… again, Charlie’s lyrical skills just shine on this superb song.

For me, there was only one choice for personal favorite of the nine tunes Charlie has put together for your jazz & blues edification & enjoyment… “Park Bench Muse“, the title track, clearly demonstrates his skill at both playing and singing, but without any “hype” – this is all “natural Charlie”.  I give him a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, as well as an “EQ” (energy quotient) rating of 4.99 for this superb release.  Since this is a totally D.I.Y. effort, you should support indie music & buy this DIRECT FROM CHARLIE.            Rotcod Zzaj
