Celestially crafted piano works Yoonmi Choi – 7 Days

Celestially crafted piano works Yoonmi Choi – 7 Days:  This is my first listen to the musical magic pianist Yoonmi Choi creates with her celestially crafted piano works… it’s a bit of a “crossover”, where she uses her classical background to blend masterfully with superb jazz licks… though I didn’t find any LIVE performances on the Yoonmi Choi topic channel, you can listen to the entire album there…

In addition to Yoonmi’s excellent piano and compositions, you’ll hear Samvel Sarkisyan doing drums and Myles Sloniker playing bass… and I’ll tell you, it really works on pieces like “2nd Day – When He Sees The Sky“… intricate and engaging from the first note to the last chord… this tune WILL be getting some heavy airplay!

I absolutely loved the drum intro on “6th Day – Here We Are“, and the 8:32 gem shows Yoonmi’s clear mastery of her keyboard… if you are as big a jazz piano fan as I am, you will be totally blown away by this powerful performance.

You’ll easily be able to visualize playful dolphins as you listen to my choice for personal favorite of the seven songs offered up, “5th Day – Let Them Swim Let Them Fly“… flawless and crisp recording make this a song I will be playing over and over again!

I give Yoonmi and her bandmates a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.99 for this splendid blend of classical and jazz.  Get more information on Yoonmi’s website.                           Rotcod Zzaj
