Breakthrough world beauty Monica Williams – Journey of Tears

Breakthrough world beauty Monica Williams – JOURNEY OF TEARS: Flutist/composer Monica will be releasing this album on a very significant date for me… the 21st of September… I’ve searched that date and can’t find anything cataclysmic or elsewise for that date, but it is my born day… this is the third album I’ve reviewed this week that will be released on the 21st, so all I can believe is that it’s bound to be a day full of power, if the music I’m hearing from Monica is a part of “my day”; while the samples won’t “go live” until just before the release date, the links to shimmering and brilliant songs like the 3:45 “New Horizons” will work then… Monica’s guest artists on this adventure include fingerstyle guitarist Darin Mahoney, New Age flutist Sherry Finzer, and vocalist Alexa Nodromia, and their performance on this piece is a perfect example of that power I speak of… there is also a strong sense of awakening to the beauty of the world that surrounds us on this magnificent composition.

I always love well-executed percussion in music that leans towards the New Age and World genres, and the 3:28 “On the Edge” is not only professionally done, but is just the kind of music that can serve as a bridge between worlds… this song will be playing over and over and over on my iPhone player – something reserved for only the very best songs!

The opening track alone, “Raining Tears“, makes the album worth the purchase… a subtle drone down under the woodwinds encourages your own flights into fantasy, while at the same time arousing visions that will help turn your sadness to the joy of eternal living… this is a truly amazing work that I believe should (and will) be nominated for awards.

Of the ten brilliant pieces Monica offers up, it is (without shadow of doubt) the intensely engaging “Wandering“, that gets my vote for personal favorite… for me, it’s perfectly illustrates Monica’s words in the liner notes – “developing a conscious awareness of these universal human struggles has helped me make many breakthroughs, both  personally and musically.

Monica and her musical partners get a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED from me, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) rating of 4.99 for this very enjoyable release.  Get more information at Monica’s website.          Rotcod Zzaj
