Amazing Orchestral marvels in the Great Northwest Jennifer Thomas – LIVE show review

Amazing Orchestral marvels in the Great Northwest Jennifer Thomas – LIVE SHOW REVIEW:  I was very pleasantly surprised to receive notification of Jennifer’s live show in my area, as well as an invitation to be present to review it… so, of course, I responded right away to the promoter for seats myself and my son (he takes much better pictures and videos than I do, lol).

This was the very last performance of her “Western” tour, and additionally, she’s only up the road a few miles from me in Sequim, Washington.  Her concert was in Bellevue, Washington, so we made a full day of it… left the house right around mid-day, endured the weekend traffic jams on those awful S-curves, but still made it in plenty of time to gorge ourselves on appetizers and entrees at one of the local “rich guy” restaurants.  The doors for Jennifer’s show opened at right around 6:30, so we got there promptly and got seating up close to the front in the splendid venue, “Resonance” at Soma towers

Jennifer’s friend “J.ournal” did some very interesting spoken-word sketches just prior to the show… since my own “start” on the stage was with spoken-word (at a now-defunct cafe in Olympia, believe it or not), I genuinely enjoyed his performance:

I had the advantage of having listened to Jennifer’s splendid and dynamic “The Fire Within” album (thanks, Beth), and so had some idea of what our ears would encounter… sheer and awesome power with both strong and self-aware personal performance and excellent video integration… the best way to realize that for yourself is to watch the short capture of her powerful performance style from last night…

…of course, this clip is just to give you a feel for the spirit-filled performance she gave us, but I (most highly) recommend that you SUBSCRIBE to Jennifer’s YouTube channel, where you will find MANY MORE well-produced videos to enjoy – I did.

I didn’t realize it from the liner notes on the album, but Jennifer is also a very accomplished violin player, which she played beautifully for the show…

This was, without question, one of the most enjoyable live performances I’ve watched (yet) in 2019… if you ever have a chance to watch her live, don’t pass the opportunity up.  I give her a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.99.  Get more information about her high-talent playing at the Jennifer Thomas website.        Rotcod Zzaj
