Amazing homage for autistic son John Daversa Jazz Orchestra featuring Justin Morell – All Without Words… Variations Inspired by Loren

Amazing homage for autistic son John Daversa Jazz Orchestra featuring Justin Morell – ALL WITHOUT WORDS… VARIATIONS INSPIRED BY LOREN:  Trumpeter John asked his friend Justin to compose an orchestral opus… the result is Justin’s amazing homage for (his) autistic son Loren… you can watch and listen to the sample trailer here…

I have reviewed a lot of Daversa’s work over the last couple of years, most recently his “Cuarantena With Family At Home” release… John is a master at creating diverse and decidedly different musical adventures for listeners ’round the globe… you can view MANY of these excursions when you SUBSCRIBE to John’s YouTube channel, as I did when I first encountered it.

You won’t find samples yet, as the album doesn’t officially release until April 30th, 2021; I can tell you, though, that if your ears yearn for music that is expressively beautiful and jam-packed with exciting orchestral ingenuity, you will find the 6:32 “Two Steps Forward” very much to your liking… amazing players and rock-solid recording make this one of the (very) best trumpet-led tunes I have heard (yet) in 2021!

There’s a real sense of “persistence” conveyed on the tightly-wound “The Urgency of Every Moment”… the strings in, around and behind John’s trumpet help the performance to just soar higher & higher as each note unfolds.

I suspect the electronic keyboard introduction to the 6:07 “Learning Simply to Be” had a lot to do with my instant love for the piece… after two listens through the entire album (with headphones on, of course), it was the perfect choice for personal favorite of the dozen sonic delights offered up!

I give John and Justin, as well as the high-talent, high-energy players, a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.99 for this delightfully diverse journey.  Get more information on the All Without Words page for the album.                                     Rotcod Zzaj
